Come join us at the library to welcome local countrified folk favorites, The Hill Country Ramblers! The Ramblers play a lot of cover songs in true Rambler fashion and mix some of their originals in when they can. From Johnny Cash to Bob Wills, Merle Haggard to Freddie Mercury, they give every song the attention that it deserves and countrify it as needed.
* Water will be provided.
The Band:
*Award winning songwriter Billy Garza (lead vocals, guitar, harmonica, mandolin) is the leader and founder of the Hill Country Ramblers.
*Jim ‘Doc’ Hudson or “Jimmy Grinner’ ( vocals, guitar, mandolin) is the original owner of Dripping Springs Animal Hospital, aspiring acoustic band side man, staunch adherent to the magical, unifying quality of music.
*Betsy Dewey (vocals, guitar, mandolin, fiddle) is a singer/songwriter, world traveler, mom and incurable optimist among many other things. She likes to play fiddle with the Ramblers “because it’s a total blast.” Her band in the late 90’s was called Betsy in the Gene Pool. She is in the process of releasing a new album.
*Todd Culbert (vocals, percussion) has been involved with Percussion for most of his life. Originally from El Paso, TX, Todd and his wife Devon have made the Hill Country their home.
