Friday, January 27; 1:00—3:00 PM
Location: Online via Zoom
In this generative workshop, writers will explore writing on the lighter side. We’ll look at fun writing samples like the limerick and the lyrical, generate new work to facilitator-provided prompts, and give peer and facilitator soft feedback. We’ll play, especially, with sound: rhythm, rhyme, repetition, & cesura, looking also at how the humorous circumstance can inspire great writing. Whether you consider yourself an advanced writer or one who is just beginning, this workshop is sure to evoke your sense of play. You’ll come away with new work and new friends. Seriously, what could be better than that!
