Percy Jackson's author, Rick Riordan, visits the library via the marvels of modern technology.
Join us after school on Nov. 5 @ 4:15 - 5:30pm in the Library Meeting Room.
Don't miss the great "Riordan hour" at the library complete with "Snacks fit for the gods!"

Your scarecrow should make creative use of recycled materials.
Large scarecrows will be displayed outdoors and smaller ones will be placed in the Children’s Room.
Entry forms with complete details and rules are available at both circulation desks and for printing from online. Click here to download an entry form.
Check in your scarecrow entry at the library beginning Oct. 1 till noon on Oct. 17.
Winners will be announced Oct. 24 Scarecrows may be displayed until Nov. 8.
One winner in each of three categories:
Chess Club with Mark and Jan Robinson returns on Oct.7, 4:30-6:00 in the Library Meeting Room.
Chess will meet monthly on the first Tuesday each month. Meet, learn and play with this enthusiastic group!
All levels, from beginners to experienced, and various ages are welcome.
All those interested in joining this group may email email@example.com. Please let her know the names and ages of the participants as well as the parent's name and contact information.
Story Times on Tuesday and Friday
9:30 am on Tuesdays: Lapsit Babies & Toddlers:
Enjoy a great interactive combination of short books, fun music and movement along with snuggly “Mommy and Me” time.
10:30 am on Fridays: The Preschool set, ages 4 and up:
Great books and stories, interesting activities, songs, and an optional art/craft time. Puppets visit on some Fridays and our visiting therapy dog, Slick Willy, visits on 4th Fridays.

Read to Me gift bags
Read to Me gift bags are available for our patrons who are 6 months old and younger.
Parents may ask for a Read to Me bag when they bring their little one to visit the library.
The gift bags include a book, a Read to Me informational brochure for the parents, a library card application and a small gift.
Materials are available in English and Spanish, so come by and pick one up!
