• Apply online to participate in one of the Battle of the Books.
• Texas Bluebonnet Reading BOB is for Grades 3-6.
• Texas Lone Star BOB is for Grades 6-8.
• Last day to apply for both BOB competitions is June 8.
• Both book lists can be found here. – Also all of the rule details.
• You must apply and be placed on a team to participate.
• Friends & family are encouraged to attend both competitions & the combined award reception that follows on July 30.

Summer Reading is just around the corner, and it's for everyone!

For Kids there are goodies for each 15 minutes read or listened to in the Reading Reward Store.

Find your Teen reading buddy!
Plan ahead now!

• Interested in a Reading Buddy for your child? In May, fill out the Reading Buddy Request at the Dripping Springs Community Library.
• Program begins Monday, June 17th and ends August 5th.
• Remember the Reading Buddy Program is about encouragement — not assessment or tutoring. It is not a childcare program.
• Reading Buddies will meet on Mondays. Meeting times will be scheduled for the mutual convenience of your child and your Teen Reading Buddy.

• Visit the Library and be the first person to borrow "Their" book.
• Have their picture taken with the book, balloon and you.
• Receive a special birthday card with photo.
• The photo, without name, posted on the children’s slide show monitor.
